Fly fishermen always have to be pretentious elitists that think they're the pinnacle of angling when at best it's just an easier way to cast small presentations far, and at worst a retarded backwards way of fishing things (musky on the fly). Fly fishermen love to complain about how they're the most humane fishermen because they got memed into buying slimesafe landing nets yet they're always the ones stomping through the redds with their 500 dollar Simms waders because they're the only ones that need to be hip deep in the water just to get their bait in the water, and they're also the same ones that fight fish for 10 minutes in 70 degree summer water on 6x tippet. Yet they look down at people who eat trout from a put and take stocked stream while they glorify the most retarded fish in the world. Fly fishing has its place like ultra finesse fishing or during a hatch, but its one more tool and 9/10 days when I bring both to my local wild trout water, spinning tackle outfishes fly, even when a buddy who's been a fly fishing purist for 20 years comes along. So get off your high horse and accept that the fly fishing community is worse than spinfags because at least spin fishermen have fun and realize that you don't need to have a 600 dollar setup complete with orvis brand scissors in order to catch 8 inch fish that were dumped there a month earlier by a truck.
