>>1800667I actually had one for a few weeks and returned it. Bought it for pretty much the same reason as OP, mixed use as an EDC and day hiking bag, and it just didn't feel happy with the amount of shit I was loading into it for school. The pathetic excuse for a waistbelt didn't help either.
I ended up replacing it with a Hazard 4 Patrol "Grayman" and I'm really happy with it, it has all the good features of a tactical pack but doesn't obviously look like one. (I don't have a pic handy of the bag alone but here it is with my gear from last fall.)
