This isn't India or China.
I don't even think mystery ranch uses 1000d Cordura anymore. I'm not hiking the Appalachian and don't need to size down my tooth brush by sawing them into quarters. I just wanted a functional bag and to never think about the topic again.
One thing I liked about mystery ranch is their ability to tie down the game bag between the frame and pack, but that is only if you don't put the game bag in your pack.
Both companies are relative in my experience with wildland fire having seen Mr everywhere.
