>>1442710In late summer/early fall 90% of my lmb catches come from casting horizontally along the shore. The problem is it's hard to fish the areas close to shore from shore. Having a boat is nice because you can parallel the shoreline and fish the entire lake that way, whereas on shore it's usually pretty overgrown, private property, or you just end up spooking the shore fish away.
