1. the shoreline is largely flat, just about at water level, so you have a good plane to stand on for optimal angle of projection.
2. no nice sandy grassy beaches on this lake, it's stone, much of it polished slate. therefore the quality and quantity of your projectiles exceeds that of many other locations, so you're throwing superior grade A prime skippin' stones all the time.
