The original rapala is my go to for rivers up in the midwest. I primarily fish for bronzebacks and the rapala slays every time. My favorite way to fish it is top water twitching but you can crank it, or whatever. I've caught all kinds of other species with it too, pike, rock bass, largemouth, etc. Very versatile
