It finally happened bros... My first snakehead. I missed two before this one. I was pissed but centered my focus. My brother told me to tighten my drag considerably, these were not bass we were targeting. We continued our drift, my brother and I, down the tidal creek. We rounded the bend and in amoungst the spatterdock, I saw a wake. I casted a no name frog ahead and past the direction of the disturbance, picking up slack and slowly working the bait. The wake changed direction and increased speed. I held my breath, continuing the painfully slow retrieve untill this monster inhaled it with a giant, concussive splash. Still holding my breath, i lowered the rod tip and felt for the fish. I sensed the beats of it's tail through the line, realeased my breath and shifted into a hard hookset. The weight of the fish turned the front of the boat and the water churned from a massive, dark head. The fight was short but intense ,since I had guide the fish through the vegatation. It measured over 13 lbs and 33". cont
