There always seems to be at least 4 per hour but Sunday morning tends to be the quietest.
A short track like "uneasy-alliance" will be unedited. On longer recordings I might mark (with snap to zero crossings) the beginning and end of the aircraft noise and remove it completely from the timeline. This causes "discontinuities" but that might be better than the nasty jet. With Izotope Rx I might try masking over the noise using a denoise module or just cut and paste clean frequencies over the jet. This causes "artifacts" inversely proportional to the skill level of the editor. My last 2 youtube uploads were full of artifacts. A distant airplane sometimes is fine left alone.
