I own this beast and he just hit puberty. We go on walks in the forest, but nothing as long as a hike. He is decently behaved but still needs more training. Good hunting dog with a couple of birds to his name already.
Any tips for training are appreciated. We are currently going to a trainer and he knows the basics.. but once we are in the woods he sometimes acts deaf and goes on his way. It is hard for me to positively respond once he does come back.. but that is apparently how it is done. (Yelling and spanking doesn't work too well with him though I do it when he misbehaves)
