If it was a knife that lived in my tackle bag in the garage, stainless is probably better. But that carbon isn’t hard to take care of, it’s coated with a thick paint from the factory and once every week or two I slide it through the sharpener and put a couple drops of 3-in-1 on the thing and I haven’t had any issues.
