The marijuana would be awesome compared to trying to ferment things for alcohol. Way easier to cure and store.
I think you could get away with floating the 50gl barrels on a rope behind your boat if you don't run into bad weather on the way to your island. That is a great idea, and you could probably even get away with 4, given that our boat is like 30' long or so. You could probably strap them to the foredeck if you were afraid of bad weather.
The methane power would be cool but I wonder how much you would get out of a system like that. If it's enough for cooking that would be great.
