#3 is a good size for pond fishin, maybe #2 if you think there will be more big bluegill and crappie instead of 3lb bass. You can still hit big bass on a #1 but it's harder to securely hook em.

I used to think they were great, but I don't like how the minnow spins around. I would rather put a worm hook on the end and stick a Gulp! minnow or something instead.
Comets still do work, but I don't think they are really any better or worse compared to Agilas.
