On that note, reminds me of a time I came back from a trip offshore and accidentally brought some pinfish back to the house, Alive. Chucked them into the backyard pond thinking the big boys would take care of them.
Years later I was cleaning the pond and saw some fish I had never seen before chilling there. The fucking pinfish had survived an instantaneous freshwater transfer and lived for years until hurricane Irma killed them.
