I've got these two (formerly three) huge lilacs that I'd like to kill to replace with fruit trees. I'd try digging them up but the power/coax cables run parallel to the fence on my side just about right where they are. I generally try to stay away from harmful chemicals but these lilacs are an absolute fuck. I'm thinking about cutting them down and spraying the stumps with gylphosate but my aunt suggested waiting til they leaf out first. Thoughts?
