If you went to a more remote wilderness, you really don't have to worry about trail cams much.
You're all hiking around in WMA and on public land, ten minutes outside of town, and you're surprised there are trail cams? Go where hunters don't.
They're trying to get deer, not you. They don't just put them at random places. They're placed around animal signs.
Are you following a deer trail on public land? There's probably a cam along it somewhere.
Go deeper, off trails.
Oh wait, that would kill most of you.
Ask yourself,"Would anyone be willing to drag a deer out of here?" If you answer is yes, you have to go further. Or somewhere else. It all depends on how accessible the area is.
