I'm into field recording and to a lesser degree photography, so camping alone is good in that sense. I get out there early as possible to setup camp and gear, and to start piling up wood. Nothing shits you more than to be constantly roving around collecting wood all night.
Usually at some point I'll let the fire die down to just coals and I'll go for a walk to take nighttime pictures and get recordings of wildlife. Usually late at night all you get are crickets and frogs... but I like getting trickling water and wind in the trees, and the coyotes howling over the hill.
Also I get sauced and just feel pleasantly content with my thoughts
