My job (military) had me in the field about 4 months out of the year for the last few years, and after wearing a few pairs of modern combat boots down, I’m pretty much done with modern glued boots. They’re simply not durable, the soles wearing out kills the boot, and you see a lot of sweatshop errors in modern hikers like Merrels.
Anyone have any advice? I intend to use these as both everyday wear and temperate hikers. I’ll need to get another quick drying pair for the swamps I hunt and hike in, (southern US).
