Went for a hike with traction and snow shoes. Couldn’t find the trail head. Got lost. Saw a trail and followed it. Only 2 miles in did I realize it was a game trail through the snow. Cougar and bear prints. Bear stopped. GPS confirmed I was not on any trail. Just 10 minutes earlier the girlfriend had stopped to adjust her snowshoes when I saw a broken log across the train rocking back and forth.
Literally followed a bear or cougar up a trail. Did not realize it. Should have known better.
Only had my service 9MM with me and not my magnum.
