>>2117062Interesting stuff anon, to let something lie 'fallow' essentially means to just let it sit for a season or two and try and let the soil regenerate itself, not necessarily planting cover crops.. just trying to let nature fix itself as you mentioned earlier.. could be wrong though. I don't think the fungi really help the plant grow better than another plant without fungi per se, the way I see it is the fungi give the plant better access to the things it needs when it needs it, instead of the gardener/ farmer noticing leaves start to wilt or yellow and then trying to address the issue after the issue has already been established.
Once again that isn't me trying to say that plants colonized with fungi don't have problems as I'm sure they do, I just see the fungi as something similar to someone that actually tries to eat and maintain a well balanced diet instead of the person addicted to the fast food drip that 'just doesn't ever have the time or energy' to take care of themselves properly.
