>>1557599Well, if you want you can use Bt spray. It is a bacterial spray (Bacillus thuringiensis) that gets into the guts of the caterpillars when they eat the plant. It kills them from the inside.
Where I live, we have these giant hornworms. One hornworm can eat the entire top foot of a tomato plant. An infestation can skeletonize everything. They are experts at camouflage too. When they are done, they drop to the ground to cocoon so it can be difficult to find them unless you have a sheet of plastic mulch to catch them. The nice part is that parasitic wasps almost always nail them with dozens of eggs. Thus far, I've had 2 plants nearly destroyed by a single hornworm.
