As you can see Pogallo is up North from Cicogna, in the same valley as the last photo. The man in question lives close to Vellina. He could walk to Cicognia with a safe trail and then hitch a ride down, but instead he takes a badly maintained trail with very steep drops and rotten plank bridges fixed to the wall because it takes him directly to Casletto bridge. I took that trail too despite warning signs saying I could die on it; normally I ignore these things because it is for stupid tourists, but yes, that that trail is narrow paths and steep drops with very, very old wooden supports hanging straight from vertical walls at points.
