Hey new hunter, hoping to hunt deer in Texas this Winter. I have a few questions, as I've never hunted or had family/friends that hunt.
1. I have 2 firearms, a M590 Pump Shotgun and a M19 S&W Revolver. Will these be sufficient for deer hunting?
2. Does cleaning/butchering the animal get easier? I've never killed an animal let alone cut it to pieces, and then cooked and ate it. I imagine I'm going to be disgusted/feel bad at first.
3. Do you need anything other than a knife and firearm? How do you know what ammo to use? 00 Buck? 04 Buck? Slugs?
4. Any general hunting tips/strategies? I'm sure my hunter's ed course will help, but it seems straightforward; Track animal, aim, shoot, kill, collect, butcher, freeze, eat.
Sorry if these are retarded questions. Just have 0 experience hunting, decent amount shooting.
