I only ended up at sw va high knob by accident because the road I was trying to take turned into an ATV trail not sure where I went wrong or if you could have gotten through without going all the way around to the west via High Knob but that remains to be solved another day.
This is the other thing called hanging rock in far southern WV off the allegheny trail.
There's also birch knob in far sw va that I have yet to get to.
Oh and while I'm mentioning it - you can drive up to Briery Knob west of Marlinton for a great view I think too - haven't done that one personally yet.
