>>943653Just do the same thing you would in a pond. Finding spots to fish from shore on a big body of water can take awhile just because of its size. I normally just drive around and look for spots that look like there might be fish and try it out.
Places like dams, rip rap, docks, boat ramps, and inlets/outlets are good spots to start. Any areas with lots of submerged vegetation and trees are good, but can take awhile to find or you can't fish from shore.
If you're targeting bass and they're spawing they'll ideally want to make their bed on gravel/harder bottom instead of mud so that's a good place to start.
Also, look for a current in the lake. It's usually easier to see on windy days, but there will always be fish somewhere along that current.
