>>1530511The opposite. Use a harsh spray of water to dislodge them. Don't have the spray so stiff that it darkens the leaves or that will mean those dark places are damaged. Here's some I found on my catnip last night. The ants are farming them. I just pinched off the entire stem since it was a volunteer and outside the bounds of the wall, coming up in the walkway. On my apple saplings I hosed them off for a time, it took 45mins the 1st time there were so many, but now ladybug larva have been patrolling and destroying them lately.
