>>858552I'm not really sure, but it is roughly about the same as a store bought spoon of similar length. That's because the metal is thinner on mine and thicker on the store bought stuff. It distance casts rather well and I can still skip it across the water under shrubs and overhangs.
The new one is the middle spoon in this image and weighs about the same as the red-white spoon near it. The new spoon uses a "teaspoon" while the 2 spoons on the far right are "tablespoons". The one cut in half weighs slightly less than the new spoon and red-white spoon.
The I like the action of the new spoon and the spoon that is cut in half. The spoon that is cut in half does have better jigging action though. It tends to roll and flutter more when jigging. Sometimes the new spoon will stall and fall like a rock when jigging. This happens maybe 1 out of 5 times. That's something to consider if you do a lot of jigging, which I don't.
