>>566187The best and easiest way I've found to use the sawyer is as a gravity filter system. Bag-filter-bag, simple and effective. With two 2 liter bags I can always keep at least 4 liters of water at all times, provided there's a water source. Though sometimes I carry up to 8 liters if it's going to be far between watering holes. I'm in the desert a lot so carrying extra water isn't a bad idea, some holes have a habit of dying out.
Btw. If you put a charcoal filter upstream of the sawyer it makes even nasty water taste ok, and in an emergency you can Bear Grylls, and it'll be bearable.
