If it's because you're with other people, pull an earbud out when someone in your group wants to talk. That or turn off the music and just talk.
I really just don't get it, at all. Then again, I like to minimize my use of technology when I'm in the great outdoors.
You can do whatever you want. My advice is that if you're going to play music outdoors like a selfish faggot who can't live for five seconds without overstimulation, go whole fucking hog.
