I recently took my new Eno doublenest camping in a National Forest. I hung it from a couple of trees. When I sat in it I didn't realize it was rubbing ever so slightly on the ground. Next thing I know there is a huge rip in the middle of the hammock. Hiked out and slept in the car.
I ordered some Gear Aid Tenacious Tape to repair the rip but who knows if it'll hold under weight. It's ripstop nylon so hopefully it'll work. Otherwise I've got a $20 Tribe Provisions single that I can use.
Any tips for making sure this doesn't happen again?
