>>1591322I've had one since about 2012 and have used it almost daily for warm green tea. Ice water and beer sometimes. It's been dropped from hand level multiple times onto hard floors, knocked off tables onto concrete, fallen off the roof of my car when I absentmindedly drove away, and a few weeks ago blew off the roof of a construction site falling about 35 feet onto gravel. It keeps hot hot and cold cold, the double wall vacuum insulation prevents you from boiling water in it. I've never used it to hike, I generally use hydration bladders so I can roll them up, less volume.
Basically it's great for taking your go to morning beverage to school or work and not spending time and money each day getting a water bottle or coffee from the gas station or whatever.
To clean it I just put it in the dishwasher. If there's residue build up from the tea or beer I fill it with warm water and a splash of bleach, then let it sit for an hour and rinse. The bleach brings it back to bright stainless inside and removes tastes or smells.
The paints all fucked, theres tons of dents, and the cap lanyard broke years ago. Nalgene lids fit it if you want cheap easy replacements. I'll keep it till it leaks or the vacuum insulation is lost.
