Wife has been hinting that she wants to get into gardening to homegrow vegetables. I just checked out the pastebin and found some decent youtube links and the hardiness zone 9a (Netherlands). We have nothing scheduled today and its finally raining so i might build a raised bed. I have spare wood from some recent projects so going to use that, if we are really into it i will make a better raised bed.
Any vegetable recommendations which we can start out with? I would love to do onions or potatoes since i love eating those.
Also, i am growing a Pergola but i am not sure how to cut the plants and never found a decent source of info on it. Right now i am trimming the fresh branches and guiding the top branches with (plastic & metal) wire. I have the feeling the Purple Rain is killing some of the other plants.
Picture is my backyard 2 years ago. Now the gras is yellow because of the drought. Will probably do the raised bed in the front yard.
