Stand on a scale and try using a stick to see how much weight you would loose on typical stride.
The aluminum is not the soft bendy type, its more of a thin bike frame type aluminum that's rigid thus my comment about vibrations (apparently carbon fiber ones are even more rigid).
Not sure about noname amazon quality but fizan is an italian company that specializes in pole making so they have their stuff figured out. Mine are collapse with screw like mechanism and it never got loose or gave any issues.
