Did you read the recent thread about the knife attacker at that campsite in the Appalachians? If one of those victims was equally armed, perhaps 3 people would not have lost their lives. However they all should have been exercising their 2nd amendment right, then all victims would have lived, and the mentally unfit psychopath would have been(appropriately) the victim.
An edged tool is one of the fundamental primitive devices which helped us to emerge from the stone age as a species. To deny the need for one now is foolish: as long as we exist within the 3rd dimension, a cutting edge will always be of value.
