So it's about getting to that time pretty soon. I need to order some seeds, and I've got a pretty good idea for what I'm going to grow, but I'm having trouble deciding on the varietals. Probably saw this a couple threads ago, but these are the three main crops I'm planning to grow. I might do a few others too in a different location, but these are the three I want to focus on.
For the watermelon, I've decided already that I'm going to go with the Sugar Baby varietal, most likely the bush type specifically.
For the pumpkin, I've decided that I'm going to grow the Sugar Pie variety.
For the muskmelon, I'm actually not entirely sure which one to go with here. I'm pretty much going to go with the cantaloupe type, but which specific varietal I don't know and could use some suggestions.
Besides those ones, I did say I may get a few others. Thinking about making a little "McDonalds Garden", growing everything that goes on a hamburger - tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, onions, and potatoes for the fries.
For the tomato, I was looking at and considering Brandywine type and for the cucumbers I was considering Boston or Chicago Pickling type. Lettuce, Onions and Potatoes should be easier for me to figure out, but yeah.
Some suggestions would be appreciated. Was planning to order from the Baker Creek lads.
