Hello /out/
I have this grandiose idea. On June 30th, 2016 after spending the time prior in preparation, I set out on a journey with no set destination in mind to travel by foot and hitchhiking of all kinds. I really want to travel and see the world and experience many things and go on adventures, and this sounds like a good idea. I feel like I don't know who I truly am, what I truly believe, what I'm truly capable of, and I feel like a journey of such magnitude will put who I am to the test.
My planned steps in preparation include
>learn and practice mastery of wilderness survival
>train dog very well for companionship
>learn spanish
>learn a martial art
>learn how to handle guns
>get /fit/
>save up money for emergencies
My even more grand idea is after traveling around like this, going to Alaska to work on a fishing boat, and then boat hitchhiking to another continent and continuing the journey like that. Learning more languages on my journeys all the while.
On a scale of one to potato, how retarded stupid absurd naive idealist is this plan?
Any advice for ways to prepare for it? Or things not to do?
