We've had dramatic climate changes within the course of 10,000 years, even more extreme changes in the past.
We've also seen plant growth increase with CO2 growth in the atmosphere; runaway positive feedback loop is also a meme ("muh Venus" doesn't explain how a nitrogen rich atmosphere like Earth becomes 96.5% CO2 with 3% nitrogen and some sulfuric gases thrown in for good measure).
The environment can recover from this in the long-term. What isn't a meme is ocean acidification (phytoplankton are estimated to generate at least 50% of the world's O2) which will really fuck us over in more ways than "muh fish" or "muh whales."
