and this is how easy it is to chop off a piece of cactus and get it to root. i prepped the landing pad for the cactus pieces by leveling it out, adding some straw and twigs, covering with clayey sand and watering it in, let it settle, re-grade it, then i literally just plopped them into place. waited a week before watering to stress it. it was slightly yellowish at the beginning of the week, and as you can see, it re-hydrated itself.
