Do you want these just for hiking? I don't really hike, and the boots I suggested are hunting boots rather than hiking boots. For me at least, they're for dealing with pastureland which in a prairie have very tall grasses, among other things, that require a tall (mine are 10") boot that also won't attract burrs like leather might. This doesn't apply to somebody just sticking to a trail, or somebody doing a lot more vertical work.
Think about the Trailblazer boot instead unless you seriously need more length to deal with bodies of water or tall grasses.
