Thanks for the time guys. These are all Phyllostachys Bambusoides timber bamboo, expected to grow about 50 feet tall once they send out their runners for the next generation of shoots next spring. I hope to be able to grab some more rhizome from my friend early next spring or whenever these five have become self-sufficient.
I dream of one day filling in the gaping insect-ridden half acre of grass they were dropped in with a beautiful bamboo forest.
