We couldn't take a break because we would get wet and cold (and mosquitoes would eat us). We couldn't make food because we ran out of gas (the valve probably opened chafing against the backpack) and there was no dry wood. So we decided to just walk until the rain stops.
Turned out to be 10 hours and 45km.
