>>2640332>pollution of plasticsevery natural source of fresh and saltwater, on the entire planet, has been noticeably and detectably polluted by microplastics, you're already too late
>metal pollutionMetals a rock and unless someone dumped 50 tons of particlized lead into your water you should be fine.
What you should actually concern yourself with is mercury deposits. Your state DNR should have a list of mercury levels of average fish species in each public body of water in your state. The lake I live on is one of the cleanest in Ohio. The only species at all that I have to limit my intake of is carp and channel catfish over 28" long. They've shown that it's only safe to eat one of those A WEEK lol. Like I said 9/10 you're fucking good to go eating a fish. I can eat fish out of my lake every day for the rest of my life if I wanted. If the fish has ick or some obvious parasite/skin infection. Don't even touch that shit and cut the line imo.
Also I knew a guy who turned his garage into a big kiddy pool that he stocked with his own catfish. He just ate so much goddam catfish that he'd bring them back alive and put in the kiddie pool, and butcher throughout the month. That could be an option for you anon.
