I've had my Arcteryx Theta AR for around four years of occasional use, and its barely waterproof now. It soaks through after less than an hour in heavy rain. Washing and doing a fresh DWR treatment makes it last a bit longer, but it quickly wears off and soaks through again. I undertsand goretex jackets have a lifespan, but I feel like an $800 jacket should last a bit longer than this.
