I've recently given up on society and plan to buy a plot of land somewhere in Americas North Center-East like North Dakota or Montana once I finish this year at University. I'm a massive Anglo-Saxonboo and want to live mostly as they did in the 9th century by farming in the traditional way, using oxen instead of vehicles, living in a mead-hall instead of a modern cabin etc. Any pointers or tips I should know? More to the point- any literature I should read before I do this?
