I've broken the tip off a few times (easy to bring a tip back, but you lose 2mm or so each time). I baton it like a madman and chop down anything that needs to be chopped down that doesn't need a felling axe. It has the same issues as some Trail Masters in that the rubber grip comes loose, so I just pulled it down, poured superglue over the tang and pulled it back up. It works.
I actually like it better than my 01 Trail Master as it's some 440A/B/C stainless steel that seems to be done alright. 01 needs oil. I'm sure I'd like the VG-1 version the best, but not the price of it. I think they're using A2 now for the entry level one; SK5 was a couple of years ago.
Cliff Stamp has some videos on this MT-151, and he had the same issues with the grip, but he also had otherwise decent performance out of it. Well worth it if you want a bigger /out/ knife that's not expensive and don't mind Chinese made.
