I don't particularly care for the aesthetic of the Pyrenees region although that's obviously subjective. I think Brittany and the Bordeaux region are very overrated. Overall France benefits from its size giving more space to everything and the patches of forests in between farmland are bigger. It also has better looking cities due to the romantic influence. In the majority though it's just a little better than England. It doesn't have extreme variety, I think Spain is that one, but as a nation represents a fusion of the Germanic and Mediterranean. I think culturally this made them superior but as it applies to this thread, modern France doesn't hold the best scenery of either. Austria and Slovenia have the best alpine scenery. Italy has the best cities (while we're at it). Not sure who does Mediterranean the best but probably not France although it is nice in its own way. Scandinavia is absolutely the best for nature in europe.
