So i finally bought a $100 rod/sedona combo and some braid line. Am i correct in thinking i should buy an empty tackle box and build my own collection? I can see a bunch of collections on bcf (ausfag) but they don't look very good, but i don't know anything. Also what should i get next? I want to freshwater fish (though i am going to the coast soon). I could probably get a bunch of cheap gear at the coast since it's near christmas. I literally only have a hook, leader and swivel that i salvaged from a inredibly old family tackle box that everyones already had a go at, there's also an old yellow lure? I'm thinking of going to a nearby river or lagoon to fish with the leader and lure, probably won't catch shit but i've been wanting to try my rod out.
