>>981605Knife (optional forest axe)
Gun (optional sidearm)
Bag
Water container
Rations (Nuts, some carbs, dried/smoked meat, preserves) Green edibles are easy to find and hunting/trapping is always an option
Appropriate clothing (all wool for winter dress down layers for summer, or linen shirt + pants. Going semi nude is also open.
Wool blanket (shelter can be made)
Needle and thread
Fire starting equipment
Multipurpose rock (river rocks are really useful and you might not come across a good one all the time)
Cordage can be made but small spool of it is useful, small spool of metal wire is also useful.
Some kind of animal fat (lard, tallow etc) deer fat is good especially for making a candle or sealing things.
A small jar of: Honey, pine tar, birch tar or lavender oil.
Thats all I can think of right now, this list is good for long term innawoods (A few months long+) depending on the season it can vary; Birch tar/lavender oil is a neccisity for bug repelent in summer, but in the winter a small container of honey or birch tar would work as an antiseptic. And a sled would be neccecary for hauling an axe, rations/cooking equipment and blankets/coats etc. So its all variable.
A short term list for a week or so would be
Water container
Fire starter
Sizeable knife (think leuku or hudson bay)
Gun
Bag
Clothing
Rations
