Midges dont stop hatching, they will keep coming off, not as many, but they will be there. Middle of the day is the best when it is the warmest. The cold water restricts the movement of the fish and they become very lethargic. Everything you throw should be subsurface whether that be nymphs or streamers. Don’t try and get fancy, use what works. Stick to zebra midges, worm imitations, egg imitations, and pheasant tails. you can try woolly buggers but in my experience i haven’t had much success. Cover water, be precise, be patient
