here in Germany every house has a Bio-Trashcan, for leftovers, leaves, grass cuttings.
now you rely on people not putting stupid stuff in it. of course people are stupid so they putt stuff like diapers which contain plastic in it, some assholes collect their kitchen scraps in trash bags and throw it in the bin.
it goes in a commercial compost facility that has a nice hot compost that kills pathogens and they sieve out the plastic, but you cant get everything out.
