>>1715967They come in shallow harbors of great lakes (im talking 3 feet or less) in early spring. They're fun to sight fish. I use tube jigs or ned rigs because im usually targeting smallies. I just cast a couple feet ahead of them as stealthily as i can, and when they come near it gently jerk it and if you get the inital presentation stealthy enough for them to not notice and you don't jerk the bait too hard, they'll take it almost every time.
>>1715980Usually polymar unless whatever I'm tying is super light. For example when using trout beads my tail-out hook i will use an improved cinch same for flies. Most other applications I'll use polymar. I haven't mastered the loop knot but I definitely should when necessary.
